Our Mission
To mobilize the church in mission through prayer, education, giving and interactive experience.
Objectives
To encourage people to pray for all efforts of world evangelization.
To inform people of the world's needs and what the church is doing to meet those needs.
To challenge children and youth to keep their lives available to God's will.
To raise funds for mission outreach.
The Church of the Nazarene began in 1908
committing our resources to reaching our world for Jesus Christ. We realize that
this is done locally, as well as globally. Our responsibility is to our
neighbor, as well as to those in another country.
The Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene has been involved in exciting missionary
work. Teams from our church have invested their skills, talents, and abilities
in the challenge of missions through Work & Witness assignments. In
September 2001 a team from our church went to the Lamb’s Church of the
Nazarene in Manhattan after the terrible 911 tragedy to assist them with getting
space ready to house local firemen and disaster response workers. Our team
cleaned, scrubbed and painted nine rooms, five bathrooms and one good-sized
kitchenette. It took a lot of elbow grease, but our team said they felt richly
rewarded and thanked the Lord for this great privilege. In early October 2001 we
had the privilege of sending a team of eight men to El Salvador on a Work &
Witness mission to build a house to help people who had been left homeless since
the big earthquake last January. As a result of this trip, our team accomplished
much by working for God and He provided for them. We look forward to sharing
more Work & Witness highlights in the future!
We believe that God calls those whom He uses to serve as missionaries. A
missionary is sent by the church to share the good news of Jesus Christ
cross-culturally. The Church of the Nazarene desires to help those who
experience God’s call to become missionaries.
